Blue bear

The battle begins as soon as we both lay down in bed, the battle of us and Miss Blue Bear getting comfortable. This battle unfortunately continues throughout the night and into the morning.

It’s a warming feeling that our lovely cat likes to snuggle with us all night long. I know she snuggles with us, especially this time of the year, because she wants our warmth. She’s trying to stay warm just like us and what better way then to snuggle between the two of us. But, with that said it makes for many sleepless nights.

Kimber becomes dead weight as soon as she lies down, especially after she falls asleep. Once she finds her spot, that’s it, it’s impossible for you to move an inch. So, when you want to roll over, grab the blanket, or move your legs a little, well, think again. It becomes an impossible task, a task that completely wakes you up.

Kimber moves from my side of the bed to Jason’s throughout the night after we were successful in getting our space back.

The best part of all of this is when she strikes in the morning. That loud meow as close into your ear as possible telling you it’s time to wake up. Even if you get her off the bed, she immediately jumps back on with her continuous meow.

Once you start to sit up, the meow becomes louder and the chase to the bathroom begins. Kimber loves beating you to the bathroom.

Don’t get me wrong we love our gorgeous, incredibly sweet kitty. I just wish you could actually train cats. Train them to stay in a specific spot on the bed, or heck even sleep in their own bed.

As soon as she’s successful in waking us both, she’s happy and finds a spot on the couch and leaves us alone for a while.

Yes, I don’t know what I would do without this Blue Bear, she has captured both of our hearts. Kimber, oh sweet Kimber, please give us a night of uninterruptible sleep just once 🙂

Definitely back into the swing of things

I am enjoying working out even more than before … I’m pushing myself to new limits and witnessing great results.
Today, after taking two days off for moving furniture and boxes into our apartment, I went back to the gym.

Although I knew I was going to be sore from moving, I didn’t realize the extent of what muscles would be talking to me the following day.

It feels incredible, well it feels like we are home now that we have everything we own in our apartment once again. The first night of having our belongings, I laid on our overstuffed couch and instantly fell asleep with a kitty by my side. Yep, we are now officially home.

That first night of sleeping in our own bed felt like heaven, granting us beautiful dreams. Thursday night was my best night of sleep since leaving Fort Myers. We didn’t have to pump air into our bed anymore, once we laid down we slept, we slept all night long.

Today after I finished writing an article I laced up my running shoes and headed to the clubhouse. I needed to relieve some stress.

I started my cardio workout on the bike riding almost 16 miles in 60 minutes. I gained new speeds while riding the bike sweating and working off more calories than a few days before.

After I finished stretching, I began my run, again increasing my speed, and almost beating my fastest mile. Seconds away from my top time, another reason to head to the gym tomorrow.

Again the stresses that have accumulated in the last few days were all released, making me a new person when I walked out of the gym.
